Certifications
The SafeHouse Habitat is Ex / ATEX certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres - Zones 1 + 2.
Our range of optional independent gas detection and shutdown systems can enhance the fixed systems already in place.
Our in-line air supply gas sensing module, (GSM), is ATEX approved for use in zone 1 and 2.
The GSM is designed to ensure that under normal operating conditions ambient air being taken from a ducted air supply into a working area is free from flammable gases before start and during operations. The GSM has a gas sensor fitted at the inlet of the unit and if flammable gas level reaches 10% of the lower explosion limit of the relevant gas the GSM automatically closes a damper, illuminates a flashing beacon and sounds an alarm to indicate the presence of a potentially explosive atmosphere.
The GSM is rated at up to 110-240V a.c., 200W and is marked; Ex II 2 G Ex d e ia m IIB T4 (Tamb -20°C to + 50°C)
