Description :
Hot work to be carried out on structured beam, tubular bracing whilst platform is still in production.
Planning :
Onshore meeting with client to confirm scope of work. It was decided that it was necessary to proceed with the scope of work without a survey due to the limited time window for hot work caused by planned commencement of subsea works.
Challenges :
To introduce and prove the habitats to the platform while in full production without the need for a shutdown to carry out hot work.
In this scope we provided & constructed 4 complex habitats. Solutions :
Site designed four habitats for custom applications so the work party was able to carry out hot work safely.
Outcome :
The Scope of work was completed on time with no accidents or incidents in which the client was very impressed with the safehouse system and how it was delivered also the professionalism throughout the hot work scope.
The upshot of this, we have been ask to provide technicians and habitats for all on going hot work to this platform.
