Description :
Hot work/Pipework 16”-20” to be carried in three locations, two of which on the exposed RAT bridge.
The third Habitat is contained in the AGCM . Planning :
Site survey was carried out, meeting with scaffold to discuss foot print of scaffold also meetings with work party to discuss the hot work to be carried out inside of the habitat.
Challenges :
Adverse weather conditions, Exposed Location, Access / Egress. Planning of the hot work so it rolls on from one habitat to the next.
Prove the Safehouse habitat to platform. Solutions :
Wind walls were incorporated into the scaffold design for adverse weather. The egress / access and Escape routes were provided in obstacle free locations. Solution was based around one of our standard habitat configurations which was most suited for the scope of work.
Outcome :
The work scope was completed as planned from the survey and on time without any accidents or incidents. Two technicians working together achieved the habitats for the scope of work.
The client was very impressed with the safehouse system and by our Technicians who were always present when hotwork was being carried out on the platform. |
